Your local payroll and employment partner in Denmark
Not just payroll. Lønkontoret handles payroll, HR administration, reimbursements, authority contact and Danish compliance for your employees in Denmark — so you don’t have to become an expert in Danish employment law.
There’s no minimum wage in Denmark — and that’s exactly where local knowledge matters
Denmark’s labour market runs on agreements, not fixed government rules. That’s what makes it flexible — and what makes it easy to get wrong from a distance.
No statutory minimum wage
Pay is set by collective agreements or direct negotiation, not a government minimum. Getting it right for your roles takes local knowledge.
Collective agreements shape the details
Roughly two-thirds of the workforce is covered by sector agreements (overenskomster) that affect pay, hours and holiday terms.
Payroll has moving parts from day one
A-skat, AM-bidrag, ATP and feriepenge (holiday pay) all have to be calculated and reported correctly every single month.
Contracts need to match the rules
Employment terms — including any applicable collective agreement — need to be documented correctly from the start.
More than payroll — your Danish employer administration, in one place
Foreign companies with employees in Denmark need more than a payslip run. We cover the full picture, so your HR and Finance teams don’t have to become Danish employment experts.

Why fixed prices?
International companies value predictability. A fixed monthly fee is easier to budget than a model with many small surcharges, and it covers the day-to-day work.
For comparison, global EOR platforms typically charge €180–800 per employee, per month, because they take on full legal employer liability. We don’t take on that liability, so our pricing reflects that. Every quote is confirmed on a free call.
You don’t need the biggest provider — you need the right one
Many international companies assume they need a large global Employer of Record platform to pay staff in a new country. Often, what actually helps is a smaller, specialised local partner who answers quickly and knows the Danish rules inside out.
A Global EOR Platform
- Becomes the legal employer of your Danish staff
- Typically €180–800 per employee, per month, for that liability transfer
- Useful if you want zero registration or presence in Denmark at all
- Often less depth on Danish collective agreements outside big-city hires
Lønkontoret
- You keep your own registration — we handle payroll and compliance
- Fixed monthly prices, excl. VAT:
- International Payroll Standard: DKK 4,000–5,000 (up to 10 employees)
- Plus: DKK 7,000–9,000 (up to 25 employees)
- Premium: DKK 10,000–15,000, including free HR support
- Usually far below the €180–800 per employee per month charged by global EOR platforms, since we take on no legal employer liability
- See Pricing above for details.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do we need a Danish entity to use Lønkontoret?
It depends on your setup. If you have a permanent establishment in Denmark, you’ll typically need a CVR number. If not, it’s often possible to register as a foreign employer with the Danish Tax Agency instead. We’ll help you work out what applies to your situation.
Is there a minimum wage in Denmark?
No — Denmark has no statutory minimum wage. Pay is set by collective agreements or individual negotiation, depending on the role and sector. We’ll help you understand what’s competitive and compliant for your specific hires.
What’s the difference between a “funktionær” and an hourly employee?
A funktionær is a salaried, white-collar employee covered by the Salaried Employees Act (funktionærloven), with specific rules on notice periods and terms. Hourly and blue-collar roles are usually governed by a collective agreement instead — the distinction affects how we run payroll and calculate notice.
How is this different from a global EOR platform?
An EOR becomes your employees’ legal employer, which is why it typically costs more per employee. If you already have — or are setting up — your own Danish registration, you don’t need to pay for that liability transfer. We handle the payroll, compliance and Danish-specific complexity directly, usually at a lower cost.
What does it cost?
Our fixed monthly packages cost DKK 4,000–5,000 for International Payroll Standard (up to 10 employees), DKK 7,000–9,000 for Plus (up to 25 employees) and DKK 10,000–15,000 for Premium, which includes free HR support. All prices are excl. VAT. That is usually well below the €180–800 per employee, per month charged by global EOR platforms, since we don’t take on legal employer liability. See Pricing above for details.
Which industries do you work with?
We work across many sectors, with particular depth in complex Danish collective agreements, including transport and logistics.
